A quiz with the theme of ‘Knowing More about China’, co-organised with the Geography Society was successfully conducted after school on April 26. Being the chairman of the Geography Society, I greatly benefited from this activity.
Aim of the activity
The objective of the quiz was to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of China, including its provinces, developments in major cities, urban planning, architecture, and historical landmarks, while promoting cultural awareness.
Preparation work
To ensure the appropriate levels of difficulty and accuracy of information, the organizing committee devoted a significant amount of time to preparing the questions. We designed questions that were challenging but not overwhelming, considering the abilities of the participants. In addition, we verified facts and cross-referenced information from trusted resources to avoid inaccuracies.
Participants’ responses
The activity was a great success, receiving overall positive feedback from the participants. They found the quiz enjoyable and challenging enough. They also expanded their knowledge about China, which encompassed not only the geographical aspect, but also its development and culture. In general, everyone had a great time and expressed interest in having a second round.
